NONNI’S BISCOTTI TAKES ADVERTISING NATIONAL
Leading Specialty Food Brand Releases First Widespread Print Campaign

Tulsa, OK (January 09, 2007) – In response to increased demand and nationwide distribution, Nonni’s Biscotti announced today its first national advertising campaign in company history. Previously capitalizing on strong word-of-mouth recommendations to generate product awareness, Nonni’s Biscotti plans to release the “Biscotti Break” print initiative in January.

“For years, specialty food connoisseurs have enjoyed our authentic biscotti in their favorite cafes,” said Matt Duffy, marketing manager for Nonni’s Biscotti. “After expanding distribution at grocery and club stores and adding four new flavors, we saw that our biscotti’s appeal reached far beyond connoisseurs. The advertising will continue attracting new consumers, while helping retailers improve their cookie business, which has been flat for a number of years.”

According to AC Nielsen 52-week sales data ending December 2, 2006, Nonni’s Biscotti sales increased 49.7 percent. In addition, the average sales per item are now higher than many nationally known cookie brands.

Chicago-based co:lab Inc. developed the creative focus of the campaign. Ian Magrisso and Rich Holant served as executive creative directors. The campaign celebrates the essence of the “biscotti experience” by displaying a Nonni’s Biscotti with a cup of coffee. Each ad illustrates the simple, relaxing atmosphere of the “biscotti break.” The advertisements will be featured throughout 2007 in leading food and lifestyle print publications such as Bon Appetit, House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living, People and Real Simple.

“From a creative standpoint we wanted to communicate what the ‘biscotti experience’ and Nonni's Biscotti is all about,” said Magrisso, co:lab principal and brand strategist. “Biscotti initially appeals to consumers because it’s a delicious treat that goes hand-in-hand with coffee. Ultimately, our ads call to attention how biscotti creates a special moment in time - an escape. We call this moment a ‘biscotti break’ and our ads are an invitation for consumers to enjoy Nonni’s Biscotti every day.”

Nonni’s Biscotti is available at a suggested retail price of $3.49 per box of eight and can be found at grocery and retail chains nationwide.
