NONNI'S INTRODUCES NEW BISCOTTI PACKAGING AND IMPROVED FLAVOR LINEUP
Chicago, Ill.– Nonni’s biscotti, a product of Nonni’s Food Company, Inc. has introduced new packaging and improved flavors for its premium line of biscotti.
The recently updated packaging has been specifically designed with the consumer in mind. The contemporary new look includes a see through window that provides visibility of the biscotti to better communicate the great taste, delectable crunch and highlight the delicious cookie. The highly successful Club biscotti product was the impetus for creating greater visibility with the new packaging.
In addition to the design changes the new and improved packaging includes eight biscotti cookies, instead of six, delivering more eating occasions in the box. Nonni’s Biscotti comes in a variety of flavors including Originali, Cioccolati, Decadence, with the addition of new Limone and Toffee Almond flavors,and with special seasonal cookies available on a limited basis.
According to AC Nielsen scan data, biscotti is one of the fastest growing segments of the cookie category and Nonni’s brand is leading the way. While the overall cookie category was flat over the 26 weeks ending November 5, 2005, biscotti grew at 7.25% and Nonni’s at 19.4%.
